I do recall when San Antonio was referred to be a country town. We are currently one of the largest cities in America because of our rapid growth. Here in San Antonio, we take great pleasure in our culinary cuisines, and I want to take you on a tour of them all.
I think we should start by giving a little history about San Antonio and how our great city got its name. On June 13, 1691, St. Anthony of Padua's feast day and the day a Spanish expedition arrived at the river they called Rio San Antonio. This is how San Antonio was given its name. However, San Antonio was not formed until 1718, when San Pedro Springs became the site of its first mission and presidio.
San Antonio is a city with a long history and a unique blend of cultures in terms of both history and cuisine. So if y'all ready, I'm ready to saddle up and get on this journey to find the best foods and unique dishes here in the city of San Antonio.
